Saudi Arabia, UAE Denounce Israel’s Targeted Strikes on Iran as Violation of Sovereignty
Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and other Middle Eastern nations have condemned recent Israeli military strikes on Iran, calling them a violation of sovereignty and international law, according to Gulf News. The Israeli Defense Forces conducted “precise strikes” on Iranian military positions, reportedly in response to Tehran’s recent missile launches toward Israel.
The UAE expressed grave concerns over rising tensions, urging restraint and caution to avoid further conflict. Its Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed dialogue and respect for international law as critical to resolving regional issues. Saudi Arabia echoed this stance, warning of the dangers of ongoing conflicts to regional stability and calling on influential global players to help de-escalate tensions.
Qatar voiced concern over the potential repercussions of Israel’s escalation, while Oman criticized the strikes, stating they hinder de-escalation efforts. Kuwait also condemned the strikes, highlighting risks to regional security. These reactions come amid high casualties from the Gaza conflict, with over 42,000 deaths reported by Gaza health authorities following a series of intense clashes.
